Mitsubishi ad for the Geneva Motor Show the presentation of
a VPS it’s simply an arrival of the replacement of the current Outlander born
in October 2005. Here is the first image of the front (in demonstration version
at the end of article).
This new SUV will have largely guided by the concept car
PX-MiEV II as we have seen in recent exhibitions, including in Tokyo last December. The VPS announces the
change of pace from the front of Mitsubishi who will lose in the future the famous
grille which gave Jetfighter look mean and sports cars of the Japanese
manufacturer. We do not know much about this new generation Outlander
particularly in the area of the engine which may be electric, hybrid or
electric with range extender as it was exposed on the concept car in Japan.
To recap, the PX II MiEV is powered by two electric motors
of 60 kW (81 hp) powered by batteries recharged by an engine block 2.0 L 95 hp.
Transmission 4-wheel drive S-AWC, 50 km in EV mode, with 800 km range extender
on and only 1.7 L/100 km. Coming in less than two months.
